Easy & Healthy!

Today I made the easiest dessert ever, Strawberry Shortcake.

Ingredients
Pre-made shortcake (Publix works wonders!)
Lite Cool Whip
Strawberries
Milk Chocolate Chips

Literally all you have to do is chop up the strawberries, add some cool whip, and top with chocolate chips. I decided to be a little creative and make the strawberries in a little flower shape. This really is a pretty healthy alternative for a dessert. For one little cake made with three strawberries, a tablespoon of cool whip, maybe 10-12 chocolate chips... it's only around 135-140 calories all together. Not bad at all for a little tasty treat!

I'm feeling quite better today after a lot of rest. My new job orientation went well, and I'm surprised to say how bummed I am about missing my classes today due to resting. This semester is going well, and for the first time in quite a few years I can honestly say I enjoy getting an education.

Sick day.

Today I am sick. It is 10:11 PM, and I have spent the majority of the day on the couch wearing my boyfriend's t-shirt and running shorts. I am surrounded by blankets, my cherished stuffed animal Mr. Whale, and a pillow. I have a cold/flu type of ordeal. Tomorrow though, be prepared for a wonderful dessert recipe!

Here I Introduce Biscuit

My darling cat, Biscuit, is twenty pounds. He is all white, can't hear very well, and just turned five years old. I adopted him about three weeks ago from the Jacksonville Humane Society, and it was one of the best decisions I have made lately. Biscuit is the most affectionate cat (without being annoying). He will sit in my lap for hours on end, and will sleep if I'm asleep. I immediately put him on a diet, because twenty pounds is a bit much for a cat. He is adapting well to his new environment, and I am more than 100% satisfied with my new friend. If you're looking for a new pet, please adopt from your town's humane society. It will be a great decision, and you will not be disappointed.

My dearest readers,
Thank you lovelies for reading my very first post on my new blog! This is where I'll be posting things that inspire me, little do-it-yourself projects that I found on Pinterest, and outfits that I put together. I'll include some restaurant reviews, some recipe ideas, and even the occasional photograph of my lovely cat, Biscuit.  I've wanted a blog such as this for a very long time, so I figure while I have time before starting my new job, that this is a good time.
